• Weakened immune system: There are chances of developing infections if you have a weak immune system.
• Reduced adrenal function: If you shift from oral corticosteroids to inhaled steroids like Flovent Diskus, it can cause adrenal insufficiency. It may even get worse due to stress.
• Serious allergic reactions: Symptoms may include rash, swelling of the face, mouth, and tongue, hives, and breathing difficulties.
• Bone thinning or weakness (osteoporosis).
• Slow growth in children: Flovent Diskus can slow the growth of children. Doctors should continuously monitor their growth.
• Eye problems: You should regularly have your eye check-ups to avoid conditions like glaucoma, increased eye pressure, cataracts, or vision changes.
• Increased wheezing (bronchospasm): Sudden wheezing can happen immediately after you use Flovent Diskus. You should always keep a rescue inhaler for such situations.
