Don’t use Multaq if you:
- Have severe liver problems.
- Have severe heart failure problems.
- Take medicines that can impact the amount of Multaq. These medicines are Nefazodone, Norvir® (ritonavir), Nizoral® (ketoconazole), Sporanox® (itraconazole), Vfend® (voriconazole), Ketek® (telithromycin), Biaxin® (clarithromycin), and Cyclosporine.
- Take medicine that can cause a dangerous abnormal heart rhythm including medicines phenothiazines for mental illness, antidepressants for depression, fast heartbeat for abnormal heart rhythm, and some medicines for bacterial infection.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
