OneTouch Verio Test Strips

  • OVERVIEW

OneTouch Verio Test Strips are used to test blood sugar levels. They work by introing glucose (sugar) in the blood sample to specific chemicals on the test strip to produce an electrical current. The power of the current depends on the level of glucose in the blood sample. The OneTouch Verio Family of Meters measures the current, calculates the blood sugar percent and displays the result on their screen. The strips are made of flavin-adenine-dinucleotide-dependent glucose dehydrogenase 2U, potassium ferricyanide 41µg, and other ingredients such as buffer and drying agents.

  • WHY USE THESE?

These strips are considered one of the most accurate, as they actively scan each and every blood sample 500 times to correct any common interfering substances, such as vitamin C and acetaminophen. It is also very convenient, as only a tiny blood sample (0.4µL) is needed and can be placed onto either side of the strip.
